Britney Spears Gears Up For for her Tour

Britney Spears Tour DatesIt didn’t take long and we all knew it would happen ....... ...... Britney Spears is Back! She’s with new music, new album and concert tour dates planned for this coming year!

No matter what people say, she’s still Britney Spears and knowing Britney, she will put on some great tour. Britney Spears is planning to go on a world tour "definitely next year".

The 'Womanizer' singer - whose new album 'Circus' is released on December 2 - wants to perform her new material live on tour for her fans.

Britney said: "I am rehearsing for a tour around the world which will happen definitely next year. I cut 'Circus' like two weeks ago. I've been working on this album for like six months now! I will tour next year!"

Britney also revealed winning three awards for the promo for her single 'Piece of Me' at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) earlier this year has inspired her to experiment in the genre further.

In the interview with New York radio station Z-100, Britney said: "'Piece of Me' is a cool video but I think by far I've done videos that are way better. But it was really inspiring to win because now I can go there and do something crazy."

Britney Spears, the mother-of-two, also gave some insight into the meaning of her new single 'Womanizer', adding: "It's a really cool song. It's basically saying, 'We know what you're up to.' It's about guys cheating on girls. It's a girl anthem. That's why I like it."

Britney Spears says she plans to tour again: Look Out!

Britney Spears said she plans to make her first international tour since 2004 to support her highly anticipated new album, "Circus."

In an interview on Monday by New York radio station Z100, Spears was asked if she planned to tour.

Britney Spears On Tour"Oh definitely, next year," she said, adding the tour would probably take her "around the world."

That would mark her first major concert tour since 2004.

Last year, Spears performed in a handful of club shows in Southern California under the name the M+M's but did not go on the road to promote her last album, "Blackout," which had a good chart debut in November 2007 but faded quickly.

After more than a year of making headlines for shaving her head, attacking paparazzi with an umbrella and two admissions to psychiatric hospital units, Spears, 26, is preparing for a comeback.

Her last live public performance was a much-ridiculed rendition of "Gimme More" at the MTV Video Music Awards a year ago.

The singer's latest single, "Womanizer," was released on Friday and is the first single off "Circus," which will be released on December 2; her 27th birthday. She told Z100 she spent 6 months working on the album.

Spears has been on the mend since her father took control of her business affairs in February. She won three awards for her song "Piece of Me" at this year's MTV video music awards.

Gina Orr, a spokeswoman for Spears' label, Jive Records, said there were no details yet about the expected tour.

Before her life spiraled out of control, Spears was an international pop phenomenon and one of the most commercially successful recording artists of the last decade with sales of more than 62 million albums.

Britney Spears Says She Plans To Tour In 2009

'Definitely next year,' singer says when asked about touring plans during interview on New York's Z100 radio station.

Britney Spears Live On TourBritney Spears stopped by New York radio station Z100 Monday morning (September 29) to talk about her new single, "Womanizer," which made its debut on the station Friday, and surprised listeners by saying she's planning to tour next year.

"['Womanizer' is] basically saying, 'We know what you're up to.' It's about guys cheating on girls," she said. "It's a girl anthem. That's why I like it. So hopefully the fans will see it that way too!"

She also said she's completed work on her forthcoming LP, Circus (which is slated for release on her 27th birthday, December 2), on which the single appears. "Well, actually ... I cut Circus like two weeks ago. I've been working on this album for, like, six months now."

Spears said was stunned when she won three Moonmen earlier this month at the VMAs, in part because she feels she's done better videos. "It's a cool video, but I think by far I've done videos that are way better, so I was really shocked that it got the award," she said.

"It was just inspiring, though," she continued, "because now, going forward with the videos that I'm doing now, I can really go there and do something crazy and see what happens."

Surprisingly, the singer also said that she plans to tour in 2009. "Oh, definitely next year," she said when asked about touring possibilities. "Probably around the world." Last year, Spears, under the name M+M's, did a small club tour that found her lip-synching and wearing a black wig during a brief set.

Last week, Spears was seen around Los Angeles filming the video for "Womanizer." In the clip, Britney sports a vampy look, clad in a short black wig and red lipstick, and playing a waitress. The clip was directed by Joseph Khan, who previously helmed her clips for "Stronger" and "Toxic." Sources told UsMagazine.com that the video features "erotic" choreography.

Review: Britney Spears' 'Circus' Album

Don't call it a comeback.

"Comeback" doesn't even come close to describing what Britney Spears has done on her new album, arriving in stores Tuesday, her 27th birthday. Not only is "Circus" (Jive) the best album of Britney Spears' career, but it could return Britney to the kind of massive, multiplatinum sales that she hadn't seen since the turn of the century.

"Circus" is overflowing with smart, savvy dance pop - the kind of hits that she has hinted at in the past with "Toxic" and "I'm a Slave 4 U" - that creates the perfect escapist soundtrack for these downsized times. Britney Spears CircusAll these accomplishments are made that much more incredible considering how low Britney had sunk - personally and professionally - last year with her string of tabloid-worthy exploits and the embarrassment of her clumsy train wreck of a performance on MTV's "Video Music Awards."

Britney Spears' last album, "Blackout," sounded so cobbled together and half-done that many wondered if Spears would even be able to record another album, much less one as impressive as "Circus." Though Britney worked with essentially the same producers and songwriters this time out, the results are so different that Spears herself - generally known for her choreography and packaging rather than her studio chops - must be responsible for the change.

The monster hit "Womanizer" is only the beginning of the radio-ready barrage Spears is about to throw down. The title track, written by Dr. Luke, is another sleek dance-floor filler, as is the dizzying "Mannequin." And she has the disco-influenced "Lace and Leather," with its scratch guitar and Chic-inspired bass line.

"Lace and Leather" is another example of the biggest surprise of "Circus" - the way that it nods to previous classics before taking the songs in a new, contemporary direction. Spears has never been one to look back in her music, but there's a bit of Tina Turner's "River Deep, Mountain High" on "Mmm Papi," a bouncy little multi-culti trifle that telescopes several decades of sugary pop into a little more than three minutes. "Kill the Lights" - which chronicles Britney's dealings with paparazzi, or maybe one particular paparazzo ex-boyfriend, as she says, "Is that money in your pocket or are you happy to see me?" - opens with a call-and-response similar to Aretha Franklin's "Respect." And on the bonus track "Amnesia," one of the album's catchiest tracks, Spears comes over like a cross between the Ronettes and Fergie as she coos, "I get amnesia when I'm sitting next to you-ooh-ooh."

It's all part of what seems like a new direction for Spears, one that values musicianship. Britney tackles some ballads, both from Robbie Williams collaborator Guy Sigsworth, that accomplish their missions. "Out From Under" shows how her voice, which is still a bit limited, can carry a song, even with spare accompaniment, while "My Baby" is a bit schmaltzy, as it conveys how Spears is a loving mother now - the cornerstone of her image rehab.

In many ways, "Circus" has Britney Spears switching musical role models. She seems determined to be more like Gwen Stefani, a hit maker who knows how to use her strengths and weaknesses, and less like Madonna, who thrives on shock value and controversy. Yet somehow, Spears has delivered the biggest shock of all - compelling reasons to reverse her cartoonlike tabloid image and take her seriously as a singer.

Forget the release of "Chinese Democracy" as the year's biggest surprise. "Circus" is a Britney Spears album I never expected to hear - one that matters. GRADE B(+)
